‘Penny Dreadful’ Completes Filming in Ireland
07 Mar 2014 | The Showtime/Sky Atlantic TV drama ‘Penny Dreadful’ was filmed entirely in Wicklow and Dublin. It completes its six-month shoot next week having secured Section 481 on more than €30 million spent on direct investment in the Irish economy on local jobs and services.

IFTA’s Ceremony to be hosted at the DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington Road, 5th April 2014
24 Feb 2014 | The Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) has announced that the 11th Annual Irish Film and Television Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, 5th April 2014 at Dublin’s DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington Road, and will be broadcast live on RTÉ One at 9.35pm. Last year’s ceremony attracted a record audience of 1.24 million viewers.

Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz to star in Irish-Greek Co-Production ‘The Lobster’
03 Feb 2014 | Dublin-born Colin Farrell and English rose Rachel Weisz will lead the cast in ‘The Lobster’, a Greek-Irish co-production directed by Giorgos Lanthimos. Also included in the cast are Ben Whishaw, Jason Clarke, Olivia Coleman, Léa Seydoux, Ariane Labed and Angeliki Papoulia while other roles are yet to be confirmed.
