Penny Dreadful’, Oscar-winner John Logan’s new Victorian ‘psychosexual’ horror series set to film at Ardmore Studios from October, is recruiting extras in Dublin on 20-21st September.
All age groups (16 & over) and all ethnicities welcome. The open casting will take place at the Gresham hotel, 23 O'Connell Street, Dublin 1 at 12-8pm Friday 20th September and Saturday 21st September.
The Showtime series will feature the origin stories of some of horror literature’s most famous characters – including Dr. Frankenstein and his Creature, Dorian Gray, and iconic figures from the novel Dracula.
The cast includes Josh Hartnett, Eva Green, Billie Piper, Reeve Carney, Timothy Dalton, Rory Kinnear and Harry Treadaway.
Principal photography will commence at Ardmore Studios in Bray from October 2013 to March 2014 - produced by Sam Mendes (‘Skyfall’, ‘American Beauty’), Pippa Harris (‘Revolutionary Road’) and John Logan (‘Skyfall’, ‘Gladiator’) who created the series and wrote all eight episodes.
The first two episodes of ‘Penny Dreadful’ will be helmed by Juan Antonio Bayona, director of ‘The Orphanage’ and ‘The Impossible’.
