The Irish Government has also announced a review on the cap of qualifying expenditure per project with regard to the Irish financial incentive for film, television and animation production, which will ensure Ireland remains a competitive location for international production activity.

Northern Ireland-based Titanic Studios gets £14m Extension
14 Aug 2014 | Titanic Studios, the production facilities in Northern Ireland where ‘Game of Thrones’ is shot, is to add two stages as part of a £14 million (€17.5 million) upgrade. The facilities, which sit on an eight-acre site in Belfast, received the greenlight for the expansion plans from Northern Ireland’s environment minister Mark H. Durkan on Tuesday. The extension will provide an additional 100,000 sq. ft. of production facilities, which will increase the site to more than 250,000 sq. ft.
