Section 481: Tax Credit cap increase to €70m approved by state and will come into effect on May 1st
27 Apr 2016 | The increase in the film tax credit cap announced last October as part of Budget 2016 will come into effect on May 1st 2016. From this date, the eligible expenditure per project increases from €50m to €70m.

21 Apr 2016 | The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) and the Canada Media Fund (CMF) have announced a new funding incentive for the development of audio visual projects. A total of €150,000 is being made available to support Irish and Canadian producers to develop co-productions for broadcast on Irish and Canadian television services.

Galway’s Science on Screen to fund two short science films with a budget of €35,000 each
04 Feb 2016 | Under the Galway UNESCO City of Film designation, Galway Film Centre, in association with the Science Foundation Ireland Centre for Research in Medical Devices (CÚRAM), have just launched a partnership project called ‘Science on Screen’ which aims to facilitate, promote and increase the inclusion of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) content in Irish film and TV production.
