ITV Commissions ‘The Frankenstein Chronicles’; Will Film In Northern Ireland With Funding From NI Screen
17 Nov 2014 | ITV has commissioned ‘The Frankenstein Chronicles’, a re-imagining of the Frankenstein myth as a six-part period crime drama, to be produced by Rainmark Films. Filming will begin in Northern Ireland with funding from Northern Ireland Screen in January 2015 and further information with regard to casting will be announced soon.

Ardmore Studios Calls on Government To Provide €15m Infrastructure Fund to Support Growth in Audio-visual Industry
14 Nov 2014 | Siún Ní Raghallaigh, Chief Executive of Ardmore Studios, has stated that while Ireland’s film and TV production industry are poised to gain substantially from the benefits of the newly enhanced film tax credit scheme (Section 481), desired growth is hindered by the lack of sufficient studio space and facilities to enable these benefits to materialise.

IFTN Interviews Donal Foreman, Director of ‘Out of Here’
07 Nov 2014 | While Donal Foreman studied film at the National Film School at IADT, he started making films when he was eleven years old, winning his first film festival award at the age of seventeen. His debut feature, ‘Out of Here’ has now gone on to win the CINETalent award and a Dublin Critics Circle prize at JDIFF. ‘Out of Here’, which tells the story of Ciarán who after a year of travelling returns home to Dublin and struggles to reconnect with the city and its people, now gets an Irish cinema release.
