'Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe will be in Dublin at the end of the month to film scenes for Irish co-production 'The F Word'. Zoe Kazan (It's Complicated) and Rafe Spall (Prometheus) co-star in the feature about two people who meet at a party and are attracted to one another despite the female (Kazan) having a long-term boyfriend (Spall). Despite this, the pair try their best to remain friends hence the 'F' of the title. more

PRODUCTION | Irish Directors Team Up For Joint 'Dubliners' Project

Irish directors Lenny Abrahamson, Lance Daly, Kirsten Sheridan and Ken Wardrop will each direct a 5-10 minute short for a collection of films on James Joyce's 'Dubliners'. EVENT | 'Game of Thrones' Screenwriter To Take Part In Irish TV Seminar

'Game of Thrones' screenwriter Bryan Cogman is to take part in this year's Talking TV Drama seminar at The Galway Film Centre next month. Cogman, who is also the executive story editor on the hit HBO show, will discuss his career and his work on the Northern Ireland-shot show as part of the October 5-6 seminar. The screenwriter will be interviewed on Saturday October 6 by GMIT lecturer Felim Mac Dermott. more
FESTIVALS | IFC Sinks Teeth Into 'Byzantium' As Irish Wrap Up in Toronto

Neil Jordan's 'Byzantium' has been acquired by IFC Films following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday. IFC Productions has reportedly offered €1.5m in a US marketing and distribution deal for the vampire feature which stars Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan as mother and daughter vampires. The feature will be distributed by Studio Canal in the UK and Ireland. more
