The horror short has previously played at a number of festivals including the The Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival, Galway Film Fleadh, and Belfast Film Festival.

Family Night is written and directed by Dublin-based filmmaker Alan Dunne.

The offbeat short horror film is set in the winter of 1996 in Dublin, Ireland. It tells the story of a family forced to take part in a family night by their extremely strict father played by Eoin Quinn (Fair City).

Throughout the night, tensions build as they are forced to have dinner together, sing songs, play charades and watch a movie, all while trying to keep their father pleased. However, not all is as it seems in the household.

Family Night is produced by Jayne Delahunt and Eoin Quinn for DelaQuinn Productions. Other cast members include IFTA-winning actress Denise McCormack (KIN, Deadly Cuts) and newcomers Flynn Gray and Molly McLoughlin. Post production sound was completed by Emmy-nominated sound designer Locky Butler, with colour grading by Element Post Production.

"Myself and my wife Jayne are delighted to get into The Horror Hound film festival," said producer/lead actor Eoin Quinn. "I am a huge horror fan, always have been, and to have had the chance to act and produce a short horror film and to get it into such a prestigious festival as this is amazing. This festival is just huge and for our little film from Ireland to get accepted into it is a credit to everyone who has worked on it."

"The HorrorHound Film Festival is one of the largest horror conventions in the US," added director Dunne. "It's great to see our film reaching a big audience that loves horror movies just as much as we do."

The festival takes place August 18th - 20th in Indianapolis, Indiana.
