Five Mins with… Ciarán Foy, Director and Writer of ‘Citadel’ in Cinemas this Friday 21st June
19 Jun 2013 | Agoraphobia resulting from a vicious unprovoked attack inspired director Ciaran Foy’s’ gripping horror film ‘Citadel’, a deeply personal project that also allowed him to exorcise his own personal demons on screen. At the age of 18, Mr Foy was beaten with a hammer by a gang of teenagers in South Dublin, rendering him housebound and terrified to go outside - until a letter of acceptance from the National Film School in Dun Laoghaire finally gave him the courage to step outside and face his fears.
