Eileen Gray biopic ‘The Price of Desire’ and companion doc ‘Gray Matters’ released to cinemas this weekend
25 May 2016 | Eileen Gray, a universally lauded Irish furniture designer, feminist icon, architect and pioneer of the Modern Movement (known as the Irish Mother of Modernism) in architecture whose influential contribution to 20th century architecture was almost entirely wiped from history, will see not one but two films released about her life this weekend.

Fergal Reilly’s ‘The Angry Birds Movie’ currently nesting at top of US Box Office
23 May 2016 | ‘The Angry Birds Movie’, co-helmed by Irish director Fergal Reilly, has earned over $39m in it’s opening weekend in the US and has beaten out competition from the likes of ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Neighbours 2’ and ‘Nice Guys’ in getting to the top of the box office in the states.

06 May 2016 | BAFTA winning and Emmy nominated Belfast-based studio Sixteen South has announced that Disney Junior Europe, Middle East, Africa & Australia/New Zealand has picked up its brand new animated series ‘Claude’ (52 x 11’) The series has just gone into production and is due to air in 2017.

Irish films ‘Sing Street’, ‘Love and Friendship’ and ‘The Lobster’ set for release in the US
19 Apr 2016 | ‘Sing Street’, the musical from writer and director John Carney (‘Once’, ‘Begin Again’), went on release in the US last week and is one of three Irish films to be released in US cinemas in the coming months. ‘The Lobster’, which won the Jury prize at Cannes Film Festival last year and Sundance hit ‘Love and Friendship’ will also be released in the US on May 13th.
