Netflix has announced that Gerard Barrett's new drama 'Brain on Fire' will make its national debut on Netflix this Friday, June 22nd.
'Brain on Fire' follows Susannah Cahalan, an up-and-coming journalist at the New York Post who becomes plagued by voices in her head and seizures. As weeks progress and Susannah quickly moves deeper into insanity, her behaviours shift from violence to catatonia. After a series of tantrums, misdiagnoses, and a lengthy hospital stay, a doctor's last-minute intervention enables him to give her a diagnosis and a chance to rebuild her life.
'Brain on Fire' is a 2016 American-Canadian-Irish biographical drama film directed and written by Gerard Barrett, based on Susannah Cahalan's memoir Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness.
The film stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Jenny Slate, Thomas Mann, Tyler Perry, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Richard Armitage.
