Irish Episode of Netflix Original Series 'Somebody Feed Phil' Set to Debut in July
26 Jun 2018 : Nathan Griffin
Netflix has announced the release date for the second season of ‘Somebody Feed Phil’, which is set to premiere globally on the VoD platform next week – July 6th.

In ‘Somebody Feed Phil’, the original documentary series from the creator of Everybody Loves Raymond’, Phil Rosenthal takes viewers on a goodwill eating tour of the world.  Along for the ride are Phil's friends, family and his trademark sense of humour.  New Episodes of ‘Somebody Feed Phil’ will launch globally on Netflix July 6 and follow Phil as he travels to Venice, Ireland, Buenos Aires, Copenhagen, Capetown and New York.

While he was in Ireland, Phil filmed in Brother Hubbards, Gallagher’s Boxy House, Guinness, Murphy’s Icecream, Deasys in Clonakilty, Miyazaki in Cork, and The Happy Pear in Greystones. The episode will also see Phil try his hand at Seaweed foraging with Sally McKenna and being hosted for a full Irish breakfast by Darina Allen in Ballymaloe.

Speaking with Dublin Live about featuring on Phil’s show, Co-Owners of The Happy Pear, Dave and Steve said:

"It's been a great day and such an honour to be involved in a small part of Phil's new show. We had lots of fun filming with Phil and all the Netflix crew, they're really lovely people, and it's great to be part of something that's celebrating food and community in Ireland."

Netflix recently premiered Gerard Barrett’s ‘Brain on Fire’ starring Chloë Grace Moretz on June 22nd, along with the VoD released of Stephen Burke’s Irish prison drama ‘Maze’ starring Tom Vaughan-Lawlor back in May.
