17 Feb 2012 :
His & Hers
Irish Sundance Award winning cinematographer Kate McCullough (Cluck, His and Hers) is to take part in tutoring an eight week documentary filmmaking course at Filmbase.

The course will offer students a hands-on approach to writing and researching, directing and producing documentaries as well as technical training with cameras, lighting and sound. The course is headed up by award-winning director Colm Quinn (Needle Exchange).

Speaking about the course, Colm says, "Participants will have an opportunity to explore the form in its many guises, but also to look at the nuts and bolts of how to make a short documentary. With an ever growing audience for the short form at film festivals and well beyond, its an ideal time to get the grips with the craft of documentary making, and to go in search of the stories that need telling."

The course runs from 14th April - 10th June at weekends. The course costs €1,000 and includes free Filmbase Membership. Places on the course must be booked in advance. For more details click here
