Cine Electric has been busy in recent months with their continued involvement in a large variety of projects across the country. The company, who are currently involved in shooting ‘The Clinic’, ‘Pure Mule’, ‘The Apprentice’ and ‘Total Xposure', will see the fruits of their lighting and electrical labour broadcast in the up-coming premiere of the RTÉ & ITV series ‘Father & Son’.
The Ardmore Studios based company supplied the lighting and generator for the duration of the shoot of ‘Father & Son’ in late 2008 and early 2009. A 120kva Super Silent Generator was used in locations such as Pigeon House Ringsend, O’Devaney Gardens, Cappa Hospital, The Curragh, DCU and the Studio set in the Old Eason’s Building in Crumlin.
The extensive lighting package consisted of 18k HMI’s down to 125 Watt Pocket Pars and an extensive tungsten package for both the main kit and the studio sets. The Rosco LED Lite Panel and Lite Pad Kits where used throughout the shoot for the reliability of the 3 ½ hour batteries. For the night exteriors they used 20ks, 24 light, 12 light & 9 light Dinos.
Cine Electric once again worked along side gaffer Stephen McCarthy and Director of Photography Ruairi O’Brien.
The company, who at present are involved in ‘Live at The Marquee Cork’ over the coming weeks, have just wrapped up their involvement in ‘Raw’, ‘Sensation’, commercials for O2, 3 Broadband, Spar and U2 Blackberry, whilst at the same time completing their involvement in ‘Seo Spoirt’ for TG4.
