IFB Reality Bites Deadline 2011 June 10th |
19 Apr 2011 | The Irish Film Board has announced the deadline for submissions for the next round of the Reality Bites as Friday, June 10th. The Reality Bites scheme will provide funding for up to three documentary shorts up to 12 minutes in duration, all of which will premiere at the Corona Cork Film Festival next year. |

IFB Announce €2m Funding Decisions |
14 Apr 2011 | The latest round of Irish Film Board funding decisions have been announced. The funding decisions include development, production and distribution financial support and were published on Wednesday, April 13th. The decisions see support offered to projects such as a new feature entitled ‘Broken Dream’ written by John Boorman (The General) and Neil Jordan (Ondine), to be directed by the latter as well as Neil Jordan’s other feature project, ‘Skippy Dies’. In all, approximately €2,000,000 has been awarded. |

14 Apr 2011 | 2000AD Productions has just acquired the rights to the book ‘Sweetie: How Haughey Spent the Money’ and its screen adaptation entitled ‘Political Betrayal’ penned by the same writer, Kevin O Connor. The feature, the first feature film to explore Charles Haughey’s life, is to be produced by Adrian Devane (The Parting, Fairycatcher) who will travel to Disney’s ‘Produced by’ conference in Burbank in June to meet with studio execs with regards to funding the film. |

The group are also in co-production with a 52 x 11’ minute series called ‘Pajanimals’ with the Jim Henson Company which will shoot in Belfast in July. |
