TV3’s big money game show ‘The Lie’ is back for a second series. The show will again be hosted by Jonathan McCrea, and is now on the lookout for participants. Only days remain to apply as the closing date for applications from participants is August 1st.
Filming of the second series will get underway in the TV3 Sony HD Studio this September. Jointly produced as an original format by 3 Studios and STV Productions, ‘The Lie’ is an exhilarating game show that gives contestants the chance to win big money - all they have to do is survive a nail-biting series of rounds, risking an increasing amount of cash on their ability to spot the lie.
In each round they are faced with a series of statements in a chosen category, from pop culture to current affairs. There will always be one lie but as they get closer to the jackpot, the number of true statements and inevitably the number of pitfalls increase. The anticipation levels rise as the rounds go by, with the lies becoming more difficult to spot.
TV3 are looking for teams, each consisting of two contestants, to take part in ‘The Lie’ for the chance to win €10,000. The teams of partners, colleagues, siblings or best friends will have to work together and use their combined knowledge to spot “The Lie”. This is a game of strategy, risk-taking and intelligence!
Those interested in taking part can apply via an online application form on www.tv3.ie/takepart but remember to do it quickly - applications close on August 1st 2014 and filming will take place in TV3’s Sony HD studio in September 2014.
