GMarsh TV productions are just over one week into a seven-week shoot in various locations across Ireland on ‘In Good Hands’ which will revisit some of the crafts featured in David and Sally Shaw-Smith’s multi-award winning series of 37 documentaries for the State broadcaster.

04 Apr 2012 | The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) has awarded a total of €4.42 million to 74 broadcasters and independent producers, it was announced yesterday. 24 television and 50 radio projects were chosen from 163 applications from Round 13 of the Broadcasting Funding Scheme.

Cinemagic’s International Film and Television Festival returns to Dublin
03 Apr 2012 | The Coca-Cola Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People will return to Dublin on 14 May, it has been announced. The festival, which will run from the 14-20 May, promises to provide a packed programme full of film screenings, master classes and workshops with industry professionals. Among the television and film talent taking part in this year’s festival are ‘X Factor’ host Dermot O’Leary, casting agents Ros and John Hubbard, responsible for the casting in film such as ‘The Commitments’ and ‘Harry Brown’, as well as BAFTA-winning directors Aisling Walsh (Song for a Raggy Boy) and Neasa Hardiman (Tracey Beaker Returns), and ‘Boardwalk Empire’s’ Brian Kirk.

RTÉ’s Seeks Gameshow & Entertainment Ideas
03 Apr 2012 | RTÉ’s call for ideas for Young Peoples’ Programme deadline is tomorrow, Wednesday 4 April. The broadcaster is looking for proposals for a gameshow or entertainment series which targets an audience of 9-12-year-olds. The 25 minute-long episodes, 9 in total, will air in the ‘early evening’ slot. RTÉ is offering a budget of €241,000.
