Jack Reynor has been cast in the second season of the Amazon Prime Video spy drama, Citadel. He joins leading actors Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, and Stanley Tucci.
Jack Reynor will join returning series leads Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, and Stanley Tucci in season two of Citadel. David Weil serves as showrunner and executive producer on the series, with Anthony and Joe Russo executive producing under their AGBO banner, along with Angela Russo-Otstot and Scott Nemes.
Details of Jack Reynor’s character and the plot of the new season are currently under wraps. Production for the upcoming season is set to begin later this year, with Joe Russo directing and executive producing.
Citadel premiered in April 2023 and is designed to launch multiple shows set in different countries, interconnected through plot and characters. An Italian series, Citadel: Diana, is set for release in 2024, and an Indian series, Citadel: Honey Bunny, is currently in development.
This will be Reynor's third appearance in a Prime Video series, having previously starred in the adaptation of William Gibson's novel The Peripheral and an episode of Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams. This also marks a reunion with the Russo brothers, as Reynor starred in their film Cherry alongside Tom Holland.
Reynor's other television roles include the upcoming Netflix limited series The Perfect Couple and the Paramount+ series Strange Angel. In film, Reynor is best-known for his performances in Ari Aster's Midsommar, and John Carney’s Sing Street. He also wrote and directed the short film Bainne, starring Will Poulter, which won the best first short drama award at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2019.
