Earlier this year, Ireland won a global bid to host the 46th Cineposium Conference in Limerick, this was to be the first time in the ACFI’s history that the event would take place in Ireland. Previous hosts include the US, France, and South Korea.
AFCI has announced that after careful deliberation, a decision was reached between Film in Limerick and AFCI, and in consultation with Screen Ireland, to postpone this year's Cineposium event.
Created to provide education and celebrate the greater production industry, Cineposium also held value to the host city in spotlighting its region and local infrastructure. However, due to the ongoing global uncertainty within the international industry right now, that is not possible at this time.
AFCI and Film in Limerick will keep all members and attendees updated on new dates for Cineposium as soon as they are confirmed.
