The exhibition opened to the public on Monday, July 3rd.
The Derry Girls Experience is the latest tourist attraction tied into the hit comedy series, following the Derry Girls mural on Orchard Street which was unveiled on January 2019, as well as Derry Girl-themed walking trails and afternoon teas.
Lisa McGee’s childhood friends, who inspired the characters of Derry Girls, were in attendance at the opening of the event, as well as star of the series, Jamie-Lee O'Donnell.
The exhibition features parts of the original sets, such as Sr Michael's office and Erin's bedroom, and has props and memorabilia from the series on display. Featured items include the Spice Girls costumes from season three, the Child of Prague statue, and Ma Mary's rosary beads.
The exhibition is funded by Tourism Northern Ireland, Derry City, and Strabane District Council.
The Derry Girls Experience will be at the Tower Museum until July 2024.
