Female Directors in Film (Thursday, May 6th: 13:00pm – 14:00pm)
This event comes hot on the heels of an incredibly exciting month for Female film Directors, which has seen the best director award at both this year’s BAFTA and Oscar going to Chloe Zhao for Nomadland. This achievement made her only the second woman to win best director in the category's history.
Viewers can join film critic Rhianna Dhillon, hot from hosting duties on this year’s Bafta Awards, for this insightful panel discussion on female directors.
Rhianna will be joined by film director Jules Williamson, who will be talking about the making of her soon-to-be released film Off the Rails, along with Hope Dickson Leach, a filmmaker and co-founder of Raising Films; a campaign to make the film industry more parent-friendly, and Natasha Moore, head of campaigns at Directors UK.
