Applications now open for 2020 Animation Hot Seat Residency
13 Feb 2020 : News Desk
OFFline Animation Residency
Offline Film Festival has announced that applications are now open for the its 2020 Animation Hot Seat Residency. The Residency will begin in May, culminating in a premiere of the work created at OFFline Film Festival in October 2020.

The 2020 Animation Hot Seat Residency is pitched towards an animator or a team of animators who have already graduated and are ready to take the next step, providing an opportunity for the headspace, work space and support to focus on specific passion projects.

This summer, up to 3 Animators will embed themselves in the Georgian town of Birr, with accommodation, a stipend and studio space with industry standard software and hardware provided. The animators will receive ongoing mentoring, as well as visual and audio post-production services, from award-winning digital studio Piranha Bar. This exciting opportunity is open to animators working individually, or to dynamic duos (or even trios) planning to collaborate on a project.

Funded by The Trench Trust and Offaly County Council, the OFFline Film Festival Animation Residency is an annual opportunity for Irish animators to create and showcase their work to an audience of filmmakers and film fans.

Applications are now open and submissions will close on April 6th 2020.
