Check Out The Official Trailer For 'The Delinquent Season' Opening In Cinemas On Friday
23 Apr 2018 : Nathan Griffin
The feature debut from Mark O‘Rowe is set to release to Irish cinemas on Friday, April 27th, starring Cillian Murphy (‘Peaky Blinders’), Catherine Walker (‘Critical’), Eva Birthistle (‘Brooklyn’) and Andrew Scott (‘Spectre’).

Alan Moloney and Ruth Coady of Parallel Film Productions produce the title, with Dixie Linder and Nick Marston (‘Boy A’) as executive producers.

Synopsis
The Delinquent Season is a tense drama, which revolves around two couples in suburban Dublin - Jim and Danielle and Yvonne and Chris. On paper, they both appear to live in marital bliss, until an altercation between one couple occurs and cracks begin to appear in both of these seemingly steady marriages. The Delinquent Season is an examination of love, lust and family relationships and asks the question how well do any of us really know each other?

Writer/director O’Rowe has several key writing credits to his name, including the award-winning Intermission (IFTA winner for Best Script in 2003), Boy A (BAFTA-nominated in two categories), Perrier’s Bounty (2010) and Broken (nominated for Best Screenplay at BIFA 2012).

Speaking about the release Alan Moloney, Producer said:
“We are very proud of Mark’s directorial debut and to be working with such a high calibre of Irish talent. I’m delighted that Element Pictures Distribution is releasing the film and that Irish audiences will have a chance to see it in cinemas this April.”

Look out for IFTN's interview with Director Mark O'Rowe ahead of the films release on Friday.
