’50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy’ wins International Emmy Award

Adventure series ’50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy’
Baz and Nancy Ashmawy’s show ’50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy’ has won the International Emmy Award for Best Non-Scripted Entertainment.

The adventure series saw off competition from Argentinian show Barones de la Cerveza, Belgian show ‘Flying Doctors’ and ‘Master Chef South Africa’.

This award comes hot on the heels of the show winning the IFTA for Best Entertainment Programme last month.

The show, which aired it’s second series on Sky One this Autumn and has a third season in development, is made by Burning Bright Productions and Brown Bread Films and follows Irish presenter Baz Ashmawy (‘How Low Can You Go?’ ‘Baz’s Extreme Worlds’) as he sets sail across locations including Africa, Asia and the USA on a journey designed by Baz to test his Mammy’s (Nancy Ashmawy) mettle.

Directed by Barry Egan of Brown Bread Films who previously worked with Ashmawy whilst directing ‘Baz’s Extreme Worlds’ and ‘Baz’s Culture Clash’, all post production on the series was completed by EGG in Dublin.

Ireland have had a lot of success at the International Emmy Awards in recent years, with Chris O’Dowd and Nick Vincent Murphy’s ‘Moone Boy’ winning Best Comedy in 2013.
