‘Haunted Ireland’ - a new paranormal TV pilot from Hood Films & Climbing the Ladder productions – will begin production in Ireland this November, with six contestants invited to visit secret locations around the country.
The pilot will be directed by Stephen Patrick Kenny, who helmed such horror shorts as ‘Somebody’s There’ and ‘Curse of the Banshee’, and executive-produced by Kenneth O’ Sullivan of Climbing the Ladder Productions.
The premises follows real life paranormal investigators Sam Stone and Deborah Reynolds of Soul Searchers - adopting a documentary style as they visit some of Ireland’s most haunted locations with their six chosen accomplices.
Climbing the Ladder Productions ‘Curse of the Banshee’, which screens in the Menlo Park Hotel in Galway on Halloween night, revolves around a group of Irish witch hunters in 1963 who try and track down a local banshee resurrected by a Ouija board.
It was also helmed by Mr Kenny, with cast members including ‘Love/Hate’s Tom Ward and actors Bernie Kavanagh, Mark Hutchinson, Gerard Fallon, Emma Gunning and Kathy O’ Sullivan.
Anyone brave enough to send in a video audition for ‘Haunted Ireland’, explaining their suitability in five minutes or less, can send their links to: hoodupfilms@gmail.com
Haunted Ireland is expected to be released in 2014.
