The Moore School of Performing Arts have announced their summer camp line-up for this year, set to run from 29th July to 2nd August in the Community Centre in Skerries.
The camps cater for several age categories including 4 & 5 year olds; 6 to 8 year olds; and 9 to 11 year olds - with each group including a variety of dance, drama, singing and percussion lessons.
A boot camp for 12 to 18 year olds, in association with Belfast-based MT4Uth (Musical Theatre for Youth), will cast students in a musical production of ‘West Side Story’ performed for family and friends in the Milbank Theatre in Rush on Friday 2nd August.
The production team consists of director Jo Parsons, choreographor Katie Beard and musical director Barney Ashworth.
Founded in 1998 by Michelle and Susie Moore, the MSPA began in Skerries before extending to Rush in 2007.
They currently take in budding actors from all the surrounding areas, including Lusk, Balbriggan, Swords, Donabate, Naul, Stamullen, Gormanston and Ballyboughal.
Every alternate year the MSPA puts on a full show in the Helix Theatre, DCU.
