Irish animation producers to attend Cartoon Forum in Toulouse.
Cartoon Forum, a major animation industry pitching event for upcoming productions, will feature a strong Irish presence at Toulouse this September, including seven Irish productions and a further five Irish co-productions.

The Irish production companies include A Man & Ink, Cartoon Saloon, Double Z Enterprises, Geronimo Productions, Jam Media, Kavaleer Productions, Keg Kartoonz, Monster Entertainment, Treehouse Republic and Wiggleywoo.

The 24th edition of Cartoon Forum Toulouse from 17-20th September will bring together 800 professionals from 30 countries with the aim of boosting co-productions and speeding up financing.

Of the 69 projects in consideration this year, nearly half are co-productions between two or more countries and 45% of the projects are aimed at children 6-12 years.

Some of the highlights from the Irish representation are ‘Nelly and Nora’ by Geronimo Productions, ‘Early Bird’ by Jam Media, and ‘The day Henry Met...’ by Wigglewoo.

More than 500 animation series have obtained over 1.7 billion euros in financing from the forum to date.

Cartoon Forum Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées is organised by Cartoon - the European Association of Animation Film with the support of the Media Programme of the European Union, CNC (Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée), Région Midi-Pyrénées, Mairie de Toulouse, la communauté urbaine de Toulouse Métropole, Casino Barrière and France Télévisions.
