TG4 Launches iPad Player App
11 Mar 2013 : By Kevin Cronin
In a bold leap into the digital age, TG4 has announced the launch of its player app for iPad, giving viewers access to the channel’s on demand catch up services for Irish language programming worldwide.

All available content will be in the Irish language, with English language subtitles also available for most programmes.

The app will bring TG4’s output to the attention of an expanded global audience at the click of a touchscreen - offering its impressive library of content such as documentaries, drama, music and arts, lifestyle, entertainment, young people’s and current affairs programming.

TG4’s online player, released in 2002, was the first ever on demand catch up TV service available in Ireland and the new app marks the next step in the evolution of the web-based player.

The TG4 player app is available for free download from the App Store on iPad or at www.appstore.com
