Another new original format series is in pre-production for TG4, with principal photography scheduled for April.
‘Taisce Tí’ is a six-part lifestyle series which sees TV presenters enter Irish people’s homes in a bid to auction off or sell unused household belongings to raise money for a specific target. The ‘money goal’ can be anything – a wedding, a holiday, household repairs or even college fees.
Shooting will take place all over Ireland and Northern Ireland, and is due to last six weeks.
A Stirling Film and TV Productions project, Pól Penrose and Colleen Melarkey Beattie are producing, with Anne Stirling the executive producer.
The Belfast-based production company is currently seeking presenters to take part in the show, which has received funding from the Irish Language Broadcast Fund and TG4. Stirling is also looking after post-production.
‘Taisce Tí’ is the latest in a long line of original programming TG4 has scheduled for 2013, following ‘Ó Tholg go Tolg’, ‘Jockey Eile’, ‘Crisis Eile’, ‘Jump Boys’ and ‘Scór Encore’.
