The Galway Film Fleadh has announced the deadline for feature films submissions is Friday, March 22.
The category is open to film, documentary, animation and experimental projects which are of feature length.
All films submitted are for considered for screening, whereas Irish premieres only will be considered for award categories. There are six feature film award categories in total.
The Fleadh will take place in the summer of 2013, and will continue to host The Marketplace, which is an opportunity to meet with the world's leading financiers in an intimate and informal atmosphere, as well as masterclasses, for all aspects of the industry; The Real Deal event, which focuses on developments within the industry featuring international keynote speakers, and the Pitching Award, a live event where five short-listed applicants pitch an idea for a film to a panel of industry experts.
Last year’s Fleadh saw the likes of IFTA-nominated films ‘Good Vibrations’ crowned Best Irish Feature Award in the Audience Award category, and short film ‘The Girl with the Mechanical Maiden’ pick up the Best Short Drama Award.
