‘What Richard Did’ Available on DVD & On-Demand
21 Jan 2013 : By Eva Hall
Jack Reynor's performance in 'What Richard Did' landed him a role in Michael Bay's 'Transformers 4'
Irish feature film ‘What Richard Did’ will be available to buy on DVD and Volta on-demand from this week, it has been announced.

The internationally acclaimed feature, which has made a star out of Wicklow actor Jack Reynor and propelled Irish director Lenny Abrahamson to international fame, was released in Irish cinemas in 2012.

The film, in which Reynor plays privileged teen Richard Karlsen, whose wealthy lifestyle is disrupted after one drunk-fuelled night which could cost him his family, career, friends and girlfriend, recently opened in the UK to rave reviews, with the BFI naming it ‘Film of the Week’.

The film is up for 10 IFTA Awards at the February 9 ceremony, including Best Film for Abrahamson and Element Pictures, Best Script for Malcolm Campbell, and Best Actor and Actress for newcomers Reynor and Roisin Murphy.

Element Pictures Distribution is distributing the DVD, which will be available to rent exclusively from Xtra-vision from Friday January 25. The film will also be available on-demand from February 8.

The DVD includes special features such as an audio commentary from director Lenny Abrahamson and writer Malcolm Campbell, as well as a special director’s interview.

Additional stockists of the DVD are Golden Discs, Tesco’s, Heatons and Tower Records.
