Stephen Kirkpatrick has been appointed to the board of UTV Media as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
The 48-year-old is currently chief executive of Corbo Properties Limited, a large privately owned property company in the UK and is also a non-executive director of Mutual Energy Limited and a member of the Governing Council of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
He will take over the role of chairman of the Audit Committee from Helen Kirkpatrick, who will now assume the chair of the Remuneration Committee and take on the role of senior independent director. Richard Huntingford becomes chair of the Nominations Committee.
Richard Huntingford, chairman of UTV Media plc said he was “delighted to welcome Stephen to the UTV Media plc Board” and emphasised the value of Kirkpatrick’s “strong finance and corporate finance skills” to the Board.
He added: “The Board is making good progress in its search for an additional non-executive director with the intention of ensuring that the Board is fully compliant with the best standards of corporate governance by the end of the financial year.”
