The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) launched the new BAI Sectoral Learning and Development Policy yesterday. The policy outlines a framework by which the broadcasting authority can engage with the broadcasting sector to help indentify its various learning and development needs.
The policy was put in place to provide support for broadcasters and industry networks, in particular focusing on five themes within the area of sectoral learning and development area. The five themes are: Working in Partnership; Strategic Planning; Measurement and Evaluation; Funding and Other Supports and Building Capacity for the Broadcasting Sector.
BAI chief executive Michael O’Keeffe welcomed the new policy, saying: “We are confident that the policy will be a benefit to all who work in the industry.”
