Casting Director Holly Carey is to join the Lisa Richards as the European Literary Agent (Film & TV). Holly Carey has been working across film, television and theatre since 1998. She graduated from DCU with a degree in Communications where she majored in documentary filmmaking and initially worked as a freelance Casting Assistant.
She went on to become Production Executive for both Samson Films and Accomplice Television, while there she was involved with a number of productions, including ‘Bachelor’s Walk’, ‘True North’ and ‘Once’.
In 2006 Holly was appointed Head of Casting at the Abbey Theatre and spent five years there during which time she cast over sixty full-scale productions and worked with many world-renowned directors and writers, among them Sam Shepard, Roddy Doyle, Mark O’Rowe, Seamus Heaney, Brian Friel, Marina Carr and Sebastian Barry.
Holly most recently worked as a freelance Creative Consultant and Casting Director. Along with Amy Rowan she completing work on Baby Cow Productions six-part comedy series for Sky One ‘Moone Boy’ writing and staring Irish actor Chris O’Dowd as an assistant casting director.
Holly will begin working at Lisa Richard from 1st February.
