JOHN FORD Ireland Researcher required

The Academy is currently seeking an experienced Researcher to join the John Ford Ireland project. Preparations for the JOHN FORD IRELAND symposium taking place next June are underway, which will lay the foundations for honouring, examining and learning from the work and legacy of legendary filmmaker John Ford who is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential filmmakers of his generation. The event will celebrate Ford’s ongoing influence on contemporary Cinema worldwide and will engage with filmmakers and film enthusiasts throughout the world.
The Academy is looking for an experienced Researcher to work with the Committee and team with the ideal candidate holding a third level Degree in film studies/ film appreciation or arts administration with an understanding of the general history of Cinema, film genres, themes. The work will entail research on international Ford archives/film’s/themes and will involve communicating with international filmmakers, studios, colleges/universities along with working closely with the John Ford Ireland committee reps and management.
