‘The Club’ a new 6x30 minute documentary from BeActive for Setanta Sports follows the story of the Round Tour Clondalkin GAA Ladies Senior Gaelic Football team for one whole season. The first episode sees the audience meet the team as they prepare for their first big match of the season.
The series was developed by Tom Aspell and Nuno Bernardo (Sophie’s Diary, The Line) and was directed by Mairtin De Barra (Tart, Shore). Executive producer for the show was Tony Whelan, Head of programming at Setanta Sports.
It was produced by Nuno Bernardo of BeActive and Triona Campbell (The Crooked Mile, The Incredible Story Studio). Lead DOP on the series was Gavin Reilly (Yes I Can, Aisling’s Diary) and the series was shot on an EX3 with a Nanoflash using the specific picture profile setting. It was edited by Eamon Cleary (Yes I Can, Modern Poverty) of Technowolfe Films.
