Belfast-based production company Wild Rover has been recommissioned to complete an extended run of the third series of ‘Secret Fortune’ for BBC One, which will start shooting in late April.
The National Lottery show, which is presented by English TV personality Nick Knowles (DIY SOS, Wildest Dreams), sees a pair of contestants must find the highest sum of money contained in one of 24 numbered envelopes.
The series will be directed by Nigel Saunders (Nevermind The Buzzcocks, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross) and filmed at BBC’s Pacific Quay studio in Glasgow. Executive producer for the show is Wild Rover’s Managing Director Philip Morrow (Take The Money and Run, The David Meade Project) who said, “We’re delighted that the BBC has committed to an extended run for the third series of Secret Fortune.”
Commissioning Editor for BBC Alan Tyler said, “Secret Fortune has quickly proven itself to be a hit with the BBC One audience. The format rarely allows you to leave the edge of your seat and Nick does a fantastic job as host. This commission reflects our belief in both the show and the team behind it”
The format for the show was created by Wild Rover development executives, Kieran Doherty and Matthew Worthy. It will be produced by Matthew Worthy (Take The Money and Run, The David Meade Project). Production Manager on the project will be Michelle Walsh (Ambition to Meaning; Finding Your Life’s Purpose). Director of Photography has yet to be confirmed by the show will be shot using Song XDcam. All post production on the show will be done in Yellow Moon, Hollywood, Northern Ireland.
‘Secret Fortune’ has recently been piloted with Donny Osmond for CBS in the USA and has also been optioned in 16 other worldwide territories.
