CR Entertainment‘s web-based magazine ‘Beat Generation’ has been nominated by digital publisher C21 for their International Format Awards in the best multi-platform format category.
‘Beat Generation’ is an online lifestyle magazine which looks to cover the latest news in fashion, music, cinema, TV, parties and events. The video-blog based magazine show based in Belfast and Dublin was launched in May 17th – the cross-platform format having already been established in Portugal and Brazil.
The C21 award nomination is the fifth international nomination for CR Entertainment this year. In March they won an International Kidscreen award in New York for the RTÉ series, ‘Aisling's Diary’ and were also nominated this year for an International Emmy and two Rose D'or awards.
CR company director, Triona Campbell said of the latest nomination :”We are thrilled with this international recognition which should hopefully translate into more sales of the format worldwide.” The competition’s winners will be announced at MIPCOM, Cannes on October 6th, 2010.
