MEDIA Film Discussion at Cork Film Fest
22 Oct 2009 | The Corona Cork Film Festival, in association with MEDIA Desk Ireland, is co-ordinating a guided discussion at this year's festival which will give participants who are active in the Irish media the opportunity to discuss film production. The event will be held in University College Cork, on Friday, November 6th from 2.30pm to 5pm.

FÁS & Loopline Film Announce Documentary Workshop
07 Oct 2009 | Loopline Film and Fás Screen Training Ireland will be running a Feature Documentary Workshop in mid November and early December of 2009, looking at the challenges for documentary filmmakers in today’s world. Film makers from around the world are being invited to come to Dublin to give master-classes on their work and offer mentoring to the 10 Irish-based documentary maker participants of the workshop.

19th Cinemagic Film Festival Launches
25 Sep 2009 | IFTA winning actors Ciarán Hinds (Veronica Guerin, Munich) and Saoirse Ronan (Atonement) are two of the many award winning guests who are set to attend the 19th Coca-Cola Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People. The festival has launched its annual programme that includes more than 100 film screenings and over 50 different workshops, competitions, masterclasses and other film related events.

These two participants will work with the writers on the course, under the tutelage of Valery Ryan, who has worked as a script editor on such shows as ‘Cracker’ and ‘Prime Suspect’, and leads the two courses for script editors run by BBC Training.
