In conjunction with Patrick’s Day Festival and Fingal County Council, the classic Irish title from Oscar-nominated director Jim Sheridan and John Carney’s musical box office hit will screen on Thursday, March 16th free of charge.
‘In America’ is a 2002 title starring a young Sarah Bolger (Into the Badlands) and Emma Bolger (Proof) alongside Paddy Considine (The Girl with All the Gifts) and Samantha Morton (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them).
The family of four emigrate to the United States while grieving the loss of a child and try to adjust to life in Hell’s Kitchen.
The title earned three Oscar nominations in 2004 for Best Screenplay (Jim Sheridan, Kirsten Sheridan, Naomi Sheridan), Best Actress (Samantha Morton) and Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Djimon Hounsou)

‘Sing Street’ starring newcomer Ferdia Walsh-Peelo (Vikings), Jack Reynor (What Richard Did) and Kelly Thornton (Life's a Breeze) was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy this year.
Reynor also received the IFTA for Best Supporting Actor in Film in 2016 for his role as Brendan, with many highlights including its Screening at Sundance 2016 ahead of a successful US release.
