The Irish talent received the Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing honour at the Cinema Audio Society Award for his work on the most recent season of ‘Game of Thrones’ last Saturday, February 18th.
Hill received the award for standout S06 episode ‘Battle of the Bastards’. This episode has also earned him his fourth TEC Award (Technical Excellence and Creativity) and third Primetime Emmy since airing.
Other drama nominees at the recent CAS Awards were ‘Mr. Robot’, ‘Better Call Saul’ and ‘Stranger Things’.
Ronan Hill:
"’Battle of the Bastards’, the episode we won the award for, is the most spectacular in six seasons of ‘Game of Thrones’. I wasn't able to attend the ceremony this year as I start a new job ‘The Woman in White’ today. It is a huge honour to be nominated for this prestigious award, voted for by my peers. To win it four times in a row is beyond my dreams."
