The first look at IFTA winner Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin in the upcoming Batman spin-off series The Penguin.
The first look at the upcoming HBO series The Penguin starring Colin Farrell has been released. Farrell will reprise his role from Matt Reeves’ The Batman, in which he played a new take on classic Batman villain The Penguin, also known as Oswald Cobblepot.
Set days after the events of 2022’s The Batman, The Penguin follows Oswald Cobblepot’s transformation “from a disfigured nobody to a noted Gotham gangster”.
Irish cinematographer Darran Tiernan (Westworld, Barry) is handling the cinematography of the series on three of the series’ eight episodes.
Production on the series had begun earlier this year, but was halted due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
