10 Irish and French feature film projects have been selected to take part in France and Ireland's Co-Production Workshop, which will take place at the 76th Cannes Film Festival and Marché du Film this year.
Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC) are collaborating on this co-production workshop, which is designed to help French and Irish producers find co-producing partners in each respective country. This follows the signing of the Agreement between the Government of Ireland and the Government of the French Republic on Cinematographic Co-Production in Paris in December 2022. The co-production agreement will enable and encourage increased collaboration and production between Ireland and France.
Taking place on the morning of the 19th of May 2023 in Cannes, the ten creative teams representing five Irish and five French feature film projects will be available for individual meetings of 25 minutes each. These meetings will be confirmed and scheduled in advance, but are open to any interested producers based in Ireland or France.
