James Eade’s Temporary Electrical Power Safety course will be held in Tralee from April 3rd – 5th. This course is City & Guilds assured and is aimed at experienced crew that understand electrical fundamentals.
In 2022, Eade served as Head of Energy for the Commonwealth Games, overseeing all energy-related procurement and management of onsite temporary power systems. He trains hundreds of professionals every year.
Kerry College Monavalley Campus & the Dawn Workshops are partnering with the Crew Academy South to host the course. Kerry College Monavalley Campus is a long-time provider of industry skills training via its one year Broadcast Production Skills Course. The Dawn Workshops, in conjunction with Kerry College, have run recognised Industry upskilling training over the past decade.
Crew Academy South, is run by Film in Limerick in collaboration with Screen Kerry. The intention of the three Screen Ireland funded Crew Academies, East, West & South, is to build the skills of the national crew base to ensure a greater volume of film production can take place throughout the country.
There is no cost for the course, as it is subsidised by the Crew Academy, but places are limited.
