Adrian Lynch has been appointed Channel Controller of RTÉ One. For the past 11 years, Adrian Lynch has been the Managing Director of one of Ireland’s most successful independent television production companies, Animo Television. The company has produced some of RTÉ One’s most loved and high-profile shows, such as’ Celebrity Bainisteoir’, ‘Secret Millionaire’, ‘Feargal Quinn’s Retail Therapy’ and ‘Ireland’s Fittest Family’. Animo Television has also produced numerous blue chip documentary series such as the IFTA award-winning series on the banking crisis, ‘Freefall – The Night the Banks Failed.’
Adrian has all of the experience and attributes to be an outstanding creative and inspirational leader for RTÉ One. Through his experience with Animo Television, Adrian has proven that he has excellent programming and public service instincts as well as an innate entrepreneurial spirit. I look forward to working with Adrian to consolidate and build on RTÉ One’s position and continue to deliver compelling and distinctive content to the Irish public.

Adrian Lynch will step down as MD of Animo Television in November to take up the Channel Controller, RTÉ One position. To oversee delivery of our strategy and performance commitments in the interim, Ryle Nugent, Group Head of Sport, will take up the position of Acting Controller of RTÉ One.
