'The Sea' Sets Sail for Irish Cinemas this Friday
16 Apr 2014 | Nominated for four IFTAs, including Best Film and Best Leading Actor, and winner of the Best Supporting Actress award for Sinéad Cusack, ‘The Sea’ is a drama about a man who returns to the sea where he spent his childhood as he tries to accept the deaths of those he loved as a child and as an adult. John Banville wrote both the original Man Booker Prize-winning novel and the adapted screenplay, while Stephen Brown directed the film in his feature debut.

‘Last Days on Mars’ Out in Irish cinemas Today
11 Apr 2014 | The debut feature of Ruairi Robinson (‘Fifty Percent Grey’, ‘The Silent City’), science fiction horror-thriller ‘Last Days on Mars’, is out in cinemas nationwide today. Earning Robinson an IFTA nomination for Best Director, the film sees a number of astronauts go on a mission to Mars which goes horribly wrong. Liev Schreiber, Elias Koteas, Romola Garei and Olivia Williams lead the cast.

‘Begin Again’ Trailer Released
28 Mar 2014 | The first trailer for ‘Begin Again’, formerly named ‘Can a Song Save Your Life’, has just been released by The Weinstein Company. The film is directed by Dublin-born John Carney, whose previous film ‘Once’ was an Academy Award-winning musical, and whose next feature, ‘Sing Street’, is filming in Dublin this summer.

07 Mar 2014 | Two preview clips of ‘All Is By My Side’ are now available to view. ‘All is By My Side’ is a biopic based on the life of legendary rock star Jimi Hendrix, who will be played by Outkast’s Andre Benjamin in the film. The feature is co-produced by Dublin-based Subotica Entertainment with Tristan Orpen Lynch among the producers.
