Vinegar Hill Productions' award-winning documentary, 'Frank Ned & Busy Lizzie' directed by Neasa Ní Chianáin, will be screened on two major European television channels - ZDF in Germany and ARTE in France.
The Irish Film Board and TG4 backed documentary, which won the Best Feature Documentary award at The 2004 Celtic Film Festival, landed the sales to ZDF & ARTE after the film was seen by Doris Hepp, Commissioning Editor for ZDF, at The Stranger Than Fiction Festival in Dublin last year.
Vinegar Hill’s David Rane is thrilled with the screeningas and says “This is very good news not only for Neasa Ní Chianáin's film, but also for the Irish documentary sector as a whole, and suggests that the policy of inviting European Commissioning Editors to the various Festivals and Markets held in Ireland does pay off.”
