Gréasán na Meán Upcoming Training Courses

Gréasán na Meán Skillnet is a training network which provides Government subsidised Training to companies, employees and jobseekers.

The Gréasán na Méan Skillnet delivers, creative and innovative cross sector media and communication training workshops in traditional and online environments.


They will be running the following courses in Galway in the coming months:

 

Data Protection Workshop

Date:                    Monday 4th December 2017

Duration:             3 hour workshop -  One morning session One afternoon session

Trainer:                MediaLawyer

Location:             An Chuasnóg, Baile Ard, Spiddal Co. Galway

Cost:                    €60.00

“Are you collecting or storing other peoples data? Do you know your legal responsibilities? Are you compliant with new data protection legislation? Do you know how to protect your own data?

Data protection is an issue that effects everyone - make sure that you are protected as well as having the right processes in place when storing, sharing and using data.

These seminars will be delivered on 23rd October 2017 by MediaLawyer, Solicitors, lawyers providing specialist services to the media and entertainment industry.  The 3 hour seminar will be presented twice on that day – one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

A must-attend course to ensure that you are aware of best practice, rules and resposibilities for data protection.”

First Aid Refresher Course

Cost:                  €60.00

Have you been certified in first aid within the last 3 years? In order to retain your qualification you need to attend a refresher course

Participants who wish to undertake this course should have an in date QQI occupational first aid certificate and/or a certificate (obtained within the last 3 years).

This course will cover Refresher in -

• First Aid in the Workplace

• Patient Assessment

• Respiratory Emergencies

• Cardiac First Response

• Wounds & Bleeding

• Altered Levels of Consciousness

• Musculoskeletal Injuries

• Burns and Scalds, Chemicals, Electric Shock
