The five-time Oscar-nominated Writer/Director John Boorman will discuss his debut novel ‘Crime of Passion’ on Friday, November 11th in the Smock Alley Theatre.
This in conversation event is hosted by Seán Rocks of RTÉ Radio 1’s Arena and also features Irish author Declan Power.
‘Crime of Passion’ is an uplifting black comedy following a director who is attempting to recover following a failed movie attempt.
Power is the Writer behind the novel ‘Siege at Jadotville’ which informed and inspired Richie Smyth’s feature debut ‘The Siege of Jadotville’, will also discuss the genesis of his work.
Based on the real-life conflict between the Irish troops and French and Belgian mercenaries in the 1960s, ‘The Siege of Jadotville’ starring Jamie Dornan (The Fall) has gone on to become one of the most acclaimed releases to Netflix this year.
