The BBC Two crime drama starring Irish talent Jamie Dornan as serial killer Paul Spector returns to the small screen this week with the first episode of the third season.
Gillian Anderson also returns as Detective Superintendent Gibson, with new faces in the series including Irish actors Ruth Bradley (The Flag), Aidan McArdle (Ella Enchanted), Aisling Bea (The Trap) and Colin Morgan (The Huntsman: Winter's War).
The new line-up also features Swedish actor Krister Henriksson (Wallander) and UK talent Richard Coyle (The Collection).
In an interview with BBC, lead actor Dornan states:
“In series three particularly, we get an insight into the mind of Spector. Questions are answered about why he is the way he is and the events of his life that has led him to the position that he’s in now. It’s such a treat to get to play someone who’s so layered - even after four years of playing him I am still finding out more about the character.”
Speaking recently with IFTN, Valene Kane commented:
“The psychologies of the characters are really explored this season. We get a more detailed look into her past, and learn a lot more about her early relationship to Spector and the truth of it all. Allan has once again written something beautiful and lyrical for Rose. It’s been a dream to work on that character.”
Dornan also leads the cast of Richie Smyth’s ‘The Siege of Jadotville’, which will be available on Netflix from October 7th.
