The annual event will take place on Friday September 16th and includes a line-up of short animations from the Irish Film Board in a dedicated outdoor screening at Barnardo Square from 9pm-10pm.
Titles include the Academy Award-nominated ‘Give Up Yer Auld Sins’ from Cathal Gaffney and IFTA-winning ‘Geist’ from Daniel Spencer.
Other new titles include Jack O’Shea’s ‘A Coat Made Dark’ which was nominated for the Short Film Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2016. Visit the event page for the full line-up. This event is free of charge and booking is not required.
On Culture Night, arts and cultural organisations and venues of all shapes and sizes, including the National Cultural Institutions, extend their opening hours to allow for increased access to the public. Special and unique events and workshops are specifically programmed at participating locations and everything is available free of charge.
