This week’s highlights include Irish titles in the line-up for TIFF 2016, the latest Irish trailers and the latest on the future of Northern Ireland post ‘Game of Thrones’

This week’s highlights include Irish titles in the line-up for TIFF 2016, the latest Irish trailers and the latest on the future of Northern Ireland film and television production post ‘Game of Thrones’.

 Irish at TIFF 2016

The Irish line-up includes ‘Without a Name’ and ‘Forever Pure’ and animation ‘Second to None’. Another title representing Ireland at TIFF is Irish-Canadian co-production ‘Maudie’ which is set to open the Atlantic Film Festival in September.

Other Festival News

RTÉ comedy ‘Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope’ is set to screen at Irish Screen America this October. The programme has also been announced for the IFI Documentary Festival, taking place in September.  

Training News

In training this week we see BBC Academy take the Make it Digital Traineeship to Belfast, while entries to the second NI Screen Short Film Call of this year open in September.
