The initiative was originally launched in March 2015 and has catered to over 1,300 participants.
The expansion will see the BBC Academy, Metropolitan College Belfast and Accenture take the training initiative to Northern Ireland.
The traineeship caters to unemployed 16-24 year-olds, looking to gain digital skills to improve their chances at long-term employment. The BBC Academy has partnered with 26 Training Providers throughout the UK. Recruitment is scheduled throughout August, with an initial course date of September 12th.
